Erika has spent most of her life channeling her love for Humanity and the Arts through movement, song and text. While receiving her MFA in Acting in 2009, she came into deep and powerful connection with the Alexander Technique. This newfound understanding of self-care and healing quickly developed into a passion for the healing arts.
In the subsequent 14 years, Erika has deepened her knowledge and exploration of the Alexander Technique in addition to multiple other healing modalities. In May 2018, Erika received her advanced certification in CranioSacral Therapy from Dr. Ron Wish at the Great River CranioSacral Therapy Institute in Nyack, NY. Erika’s training with Dr. Wish includes SomatoEmotional Release, Guided Imagery, and Energy Cyst Release. She also completed supplemental CST training in Guatemala and NYC.
In 2019, Erika completed her first round of training in Thai Bodywork with Ananda Apfelbaum. Due to the pandemic, she is no longer able to train in this modality, though it has greatly enhanced and influenced her work.
Erika also believes strongly in the benefits of Aromatherapy and environmental detoxification. She encourages a clean diet, clean healthy and beauty products (see here), essential oils, and more.
With over 15 years of combined experience in these modalities, Erika has cultivated skills as an empathic and intuitive practitioner. Her mission is to empower people to live vibrant, healthy lives. Her practice encourages the mind, body, and spirit to maximize the extraordinary mechanics of the body’s own on-board health care systems. She aims to provide a safe space for you and your Inner Healer to let go of what is no longer serving you, to meet your edge with trust and desire, to move through your discomfort and to welcome peace and abundance into your life.
